All of our manufacturers offer different warranties on their trailers, stated below. At the time of purchase the warranty information will be handed to you. Our dealership “Doubles the Manufacturers Stated Warranty!” FREE TO YOU on all cargo and utility trailers cnly! This is something no other dealership dares to offer! Pre owned trailers excluded.
All warranties MUST BE pre-approved: No Exceptions !!
Prior Written Consent Required and Return or Defective Parts.
No reimbursement will be made to any dealer or owner for repairs made without the prior written consent of THE MANUFACTURER.
Pre – Owned Trailers:
All pre owned trailers sold from our dealership are sold “AS IS”, meaning no warranty, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Manufacturers Stated Warranties Overview:
Below is a briefing on the warranties of some of the manufacturers we carry, all details are NOT listed. For a complete detail listing request your sales person to scan or fax one to you.
Aluma All Aluminum Trailers:
Plant Location: Bancroft, Indiana
Aluma warrants that its product will be free from defects in workmanship and material for a period of five (5) years. The warranty period starts the day of purchase by the ORIGINAL owner. Any unit that proves to be in material and/or workmanship under normal use, and such unit is returned to Aluma and under their inspection is determined to be defective, the unit will be repaired without charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser. Any repairs other than by the factory will be paid for only with prior approval from Aluma. The warranty shall be void where the unit has been subject to misuse, neglect, alteration, modification, accident or where repair part or actual repairs have been supplied and/or performed without Aluma authorization. Loading in access of gross vehicle load ratings states on the certificate plate will invalidate any and all warranties. Normal wear items will not be replaced due to wear (items include but are not limited to, bearings, brakes, brake linings & hinges). Paint warranty (90) days does not cover wear, deterioration and/or damage from road elements, salt, sand, weather conditions, and/or improper wash solvents.
ATC The Aluminum Trailer Company:
Plant Location: Nappannee, Indiana
The Aluminum Trailer Co. (ATC) hereby warrants our product line for a period of three (3) years from date of purchase. This warranty is non-transferable and is limited to defects in workmanship preformed by ATC only. Other components such as but not limited to tires, wheels, axles, awnings, couplers, generators, hydraulic pumps, jacks, winches, air conditioners, doors and windows are covered by OEM warranties and must be filed with the OEM. ATC’s warranty does not cover special paints or graphics. This warranty covers all electrical work and wiring for one (1) year. The ATC warranty is valid only if the trailer is
(a) Returned to ATC or (b) Returned to a repair facility authorized by ATC. This warranty is void if the product has been abused, overloaded, neglected or misused in any way. ATC reserves the exclusive right to determine whether or not the consumer has misused the product.
Big Tex:
Plant Location: Odessa, Texas
Your Big Tex equipment, which has been manufactured, tested and inspected in accordance with carefully specified engineering requirements, is warranted to the ORIGINAL owner to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the period of one (1) year, except as herein limited, from date of purchase. The obligation of this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part or parts which, in the opinion of the company, shall be proved defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service during the one-year-period commencing with the date of purchase. Paint and wood flooring are warranted for a period of ninety (90) days from date of purchase. This warranty does not cover any part or parts which have been damaged as a result of an accident, misuse or abuse. This warranty shall not apply if the trailer has been subjected in loads in excess of its rated capacity.
Limitations and Exclusions
(1) Equipment which has been modified, repaired, or altered in any way without the express written consent of Big Tex.
(2) Unreasonable use (including failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance).
(3) Tires, axles, axle assemblies, suspension components, or any other equipment which is warranted separately by the respective manufacturers of said components.
(4) Parts not supplied by Big Tex
(5) Certain parts which require replacement in the ordinary course of use due to normal wear.
Carry On:
Plant Location: Lavonia, Georgia
Carry On Trailers, Inc. warrants each trailer to the ORIGINAL owner to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year, except as may be limited, from date of purchase.
Hawk Dumps:
Plant Location: Marietta, South Carolina
Tow-Rite Mfg. Co. Inc. warrants each trailer to be free from failure resulting from defective material and workmanship under proper use and service for a period of one (1) year following the date of delivery to the user. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement without charge, at Tow-rite’s factory, warehouse, or approved repair shop, of any part or parts which Tow-Rite’s inspection shall disclose to be defective.
Axles, wheels & tires, cylinders, pumps, and any other items used in the manufacture of trailers by Tow-Rite, but not originally manufactured by Tow-Rite are subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty.Tow-Rite will provide such assistance and information as is necessary and available to facilitate the users claim to such other manufacturer. ***Paint is not covered under this warranty**
Horton Haulers:
Plant Location: Eatonton, Georgia
THREE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:
Horton Vans Inc. (Horton Vans) warrants that each Horton Van trailer operated by the ORIGINAL purchaser under normal use in the Continental United States or Canada will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years following the original purchase, subject to the requirements, exclusions and limitations stated below.
The obligation of this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part or parts, which in the opinion of the factory are defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service during the warranty period commencing with the date of the first retail purchase. If the trailer is rented or used for commercial hauling this limited warranty is null and void.
Subject to the requirements, exclusions and limitations stated below, the structure of your Horton Hauler is warranted to the original retail purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship by Horton Vans from normal use for three (3) years from the date of purchase. The structure is that portion of the trailer, which includes the main frame, consisting of the bottom rails, cross members, side posts and exterior walls, roof rails and bow, and the sub-frame, excluding the floorboards and running gear.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:
Subject to the requirements, exclusions and limitations stated below, all other components (electrical, lights, mechanical jacks, fiberglass, doors, sealants, locks, couplers and paint) of your Horton Van trailer are warranted to the ORIGINAL retail purchaser against any defect in the materials and workmanship by Horton Vans arising from normal use for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
LIMITED PAINT WARRANTY:
Horton Vans warrants its paint finish to be consistent with industry standards for one year after the date of original retail purchase, with the exceptions of “normal use” limitations set forth below and of deterioration due to use or exposure, such as chipping, scratching, fading, cracks in caulk seams, road salt or tar, damage by animals or pressure washing. Warrantable paint repairs are limited to spot repairs and blending consistent with standards in the trailer industry.
EXCLUSIONS OF ITEMS WARRANTED BY OTHER MANUFACTURERES:
Expressly excluded from this Limited Warranty are any claims related to items that are warranted by their own manufacturer. These items include, but are not limited to: tires, rims, axles, and axle components including, without implied limitation, tow in/tow out and camber on axle; brake components; springs and suspension components; couplers and jacks; and any other items purchased and installed by Horton Vans.
Karavan:
Plant Location: Fox Lake, Wisconsin
STS warrants each new STS trailer to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from date of purchase. STS shall repair or replace, without charge, any parts found to be defective upon examination because of imperfect workmanship or materials, within a reasonable time after the trailer is returned at purchaser’s expense to any STS authorized distributor or dealer. This warranty is only extended to the FIRST BUYER/OWNER of the trailer.
WARRANTY PRE-AUTHORIZATION:
All warranty returns must be approved by STS’s customer service representative. Only original production parts installed by STS Trailers will be accepted for warranty consideration. Any parts returned other than parts used in STS production will be returned to customer at customer’s expense.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
Provisions of this warranty shall not apply to any product which is found to have been modified or altered in any way; nor shall the warranty apply to any defect or malfunction which was caused by damage, unreasonable use, or failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. The warranty will not cover damage caused by overloading the trailer beyond the stated capacities or the use of improperly installed weight distribution hitches in conjunction with hydraulic surge brakes. Due to the highly corrosive conditions a trailer may be exposed to, rust formation is not covered.
OTHER LIMITATIONS:
Races, bearings and seals are covered for 90 days from the date of purchase. Any implied warranties, obligations or liabilities, including but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability, shall be limited in duration to the five (5) year duration of the written limited warranty.
Motiv:
Plant Location: Nappannee, Indiana
Motiv Trailers warrants to the ORIGINAL consumer purchaser for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase by purchaser (warranty period), that it’s trailer (the product) shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship attributable to warrantor.
EXCLUDED from this three year warranty are electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, seals, sealant, paint, undercoating, and fiberglass parts which are warranted for a one (1) year period from date of purchase by the ORIGINAL purchaser.
EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY:
Warrantor is not responsible for claims relating to the following:
(1) Defacing ; scratches, dents, chips, tears, and defacing on any surface not caused by warrantor
(2) Routine maintenance
(3) Damage from unauthorized repairs, abuse, misuse or neglect
(4) Damage caused from improper hitch ball or tow vehicle hook up
(5) Component parts covered by separate Supplier Warranty such as warranties of the manufacturer of tires, axles, jacks, couplers, windows, light fixtures, etc..
These warranty claims must be presented to their respective component manufacturer for warranty service. Motiv Trailers reserves the right for final determination whether or not the product has been abused or misused by the purchaser.
WARRANTORS OBLIGATION:
Warrantor shall elect to remedy defects in materials and workmanship caused by Warrantor by repair replacement or refund, if replacement or repair is not possible. All defective products shall be delivered to Warrantor’s address listed above unless prior written approval is obtained from warrantor. Warrantor may as its option, select another qualified location for the repair to be completed. Warrantor will not be obligated, in any way, to pay for any repairs made without its specific approval.
Optima:
Plant Location: Eastman, Georgia
Optima Industries warrants the ORIGINAL owner that the Optima trailer will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period of six (6) years except as herein limited, from the date of the first retail purchase when properly maintained, provided all stated conditions and exclusions are met and satisfied.
The obligation of this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part or parts which, in the opinion of Optima are defective in materials and workmanship under normal use and service during the six (6) year period commencing with date of the first retail purchase. Electrical components, lights, mechanical jacks, fiberglass, doors, sealants, seals, locks, couplers and paint are warranted for a one (1) year period from the date of the first retail purchase, subject to the limitations contained in this limited warranty.
HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICES:
All warranty requests must be presented to Optima and proper arrangements must be made and approved by the factory prior to any work being done. All warranty repairs must be made at the Optima factory, unless prior written approval is obtained from the factory before said repairs begin. In certain cases, the Optima factory may, at its option, elect to have warranty work performed in the field by a qualified repair shop.
COVERED ITEMS:
This Optima warranty covers the mainframe consisting of bottom rail, floor cross-members, side ports, roof rail extrusions, kingpin and subframe only. All other parts manufactured on Optima that attach to the main trailer such as door, ramp, liftgate, components used in interior conversion and floors are warranted by a one (1) year period.
NOT COVERED:
Optima will not be responsible for work performed or options installed by others. Customer will be charged for any labor, material or parts resulting from work performed or options installed by others, including without implied limitation:
- 1. Graphics; 2. Special Awnings; 3. Hydraulic Lift Systems
Southern Sales:
Plant Location: Travelers Rest, South Carolina
Southern Sales, Inc., hereinafter referred to as manufacturer, unconditionally warrants each trailer to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of (12) months under normal wear and rated load capacity. The warranty begins on the date that the trailer is put into service with a limit of two years from shipment from the manufacturer. The warranty applies to all trailers that have not been altered or repaired without the manufacturer’s authorization.
ITEMS WARRANTED BY RESPECTIVE MANUFACTURER:
All axle assemblies, brake systems, wheels, tires, light systems, hitch couplers, jacks, power units, cylinders, or other accessories or purchased parts are warranted by the respective manufacturer.
NOT WARRANTED:
The warranty does not cover: Customer dissatisfaction, transportation to and from the servicing dealer, lack of maintenance, accidents or operator’s misuse. SSI will not be liable for damages to any vehicles, property, or personal injuries involved in any type of accident.
Transhaul:
Plant Location: Douglas, Georgia
Transhaul, Inc., 125 Westgate Drive, Douglas, GA 31535 (warrantor) warrants to the ORIGINAL CONSUMER PURCHASER (purchaser) for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase by (purchaser warranty period), that its trailer (the product) shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship attributable to warrantor.
EXCLUDED FROM THREE YEAR WARRANTY:
Excluded from this three (3) year warranty are electrical, plumbing, windows, doors, seals, sealant, paint, undercoating, plastic and fiberglass parts which are warranted for a one (1) year period from the date of purchase by the ORIGINAL purchaser.
EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY:
Warrantor is not responsible for claims relating to the following: (1) defacing: scratches, dents, chips, tears, and defacing on any surface not caused by Warrantor; (2) routine maintenance; (3) damage from unauthorized repairs, abuse, misuse or neglect; (4) damage caused from improper hitch ball or tow vehicle hook up; (5) component parts covered by separate Supplier Warranty such as warranties of the manufacturer of tires, axles, jacks, couplers, windows, light fixtures, etc.; (6) additions or modifications to trailer other than by Transhaul.
WARRANTOR’S OBLIGATION – HOW TO GET WARRANTY SERVICE:
Warrantor may, as its option, select another qualified location for the repair to be completed. Warrantor will not be obligated in any way, to pay for any repairs made without its specific approval Warrantor shall remedy defects within a reasonable time, not to exceed sixty (60) days after delivery by Purchaser.
Down to Earth:
Plant location: Baxley, Georgia.
Down to Earth Trailers warrants products manufactured by it to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of manufacture (paint and cosmetics carries a 30 day warranty), under normal use and service. Products are dated both on the Certificate of Origin and on the VIN label attached to the trailer. The sole and exclusive obligation of Down to Earth Trailers is to repair, at its option, free of charge for parts and labor, any part which is defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service. All returns for credit are subject to inspection and testing at the manufacturer's location before actual determination is made to allow credit.
In case of defect, the trailer shall be returned to Down to Earth Trailers at the dealer’s or user’s expense. Down to Earth Trailers will make the determination and necessary repairs if so determined. Overloading or willful misuse of the trailer will void the warranty. Within five (5) days after discovering a problem with your Down to Earth Trailer, return your trailer for inspection to your Down to Earth dealer where you bought your trailer. If your dealer cannot repair the problem free of charge and you want to file a claim under this warranty, your local dealer must send to Down to Earth Trailers by registered mail a warranty claim form, together with all the required information within ten (10) days of the discovery of your defect. The warranty claim form must list the defective components. All defective parts must be returned prepaid to the manufacturer’s address. In some instances, photos or digital images will be required along with the defective parts. Repairs made at an approved agent of Down to Earth Trailers must first be approved in writing by Down to Earth Trailers. Under no circumstances shall Down to Earth Trailers pay for unapproved repairs or reimburse the end user or dealer for any defective parts that have not been returned to Down to Earth Trailers for inspection.
EXCLUDED FROM WARRANTY:
Down to Earth Trailers does not warrant products not manufactured by it, such as, axles, tires, wheels, couplers, jacks, but assigns to the purchaser any warranty extended by the manufacturer of such products. The warranty is void if the product is altered or repaired by anyone other than Down to Earth Trailers or an authorized agent of Down to Earth Trailers. This warranty is also void if there is a failure to maintain the products as recommended by Down to Earth Trailers and the various manufacturers of various components going in the manufacturer of the trailers.
Buyer acknowledges that Down to Earth Trailers is not an insurer and assumes no risk for loss or damages or the cost of any inconvenience, transportation damages, misuse, abuse, accident or similar incident.
Down to Earth Trailers gives no warranty, express or implied, of merchantability, fitness for any particular purpose, or otherwise which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. Under no circumstances shall Down to Earth Trailers be liable for any loss of or damage to property, direct, incidental or consequential, arising out of the use of, or inability to use Down to Earth products. Furthermore, Down to Earth Trailers shall not be liable for any personal injury or death which may arise in the course of, or as a result of, personal, commercial or industrial use of its products.
